How To Build Confidence
Hey Guys!!
Every morning, usually after a nice breakfast, I like to sit back and listen to one of my favorite songs. I'm sure most of you do it for the same reason as I do: to shake off yesterday's messes and have a fresh start for today. I listen to the same song everyday and I get the same exhilaration. I release good energy enter my day with a confidence, and my day is brighter because of it. So today's question isn't that tough. You don't have to dive into the depths of your soul to pull out an eccentric response. In fact, don't think longer than 5 seconds on this, okay?
Ready?...
What's your favorite song?
Got it? great. For those who have too many favorites to decide even better. Whether you have 1 or 15 favorite songs, each one gives us power. The power to feel something that we can't see, but know it's there. This is a big part of building confidence in yourself. Yesterday I told you to stop doubting your ability to control your destiny. Well, a vital aspect of pursuing any dream in life is confidence in yourself. Confidence allows us to see life for the beast it is, and still take it head on. Sometimes confidence seems stronger when we don't know anything. Remember jumping out of swings in your youth? That is the best example of taking a leap and being willing to endure the consequences. You may have done that everyday then suddenly you stopped. You began to simple sway with the wind. As we got older that risks of injury from jumping out of a swing outweighed the benefit of feeling a rush.
I oppose this view. I don't think age stops you from taking risks, rather the fact that your mind isn't prepared for it. Things happen that cause us to take our focus from the original goals we planned, and when we think about them, we image the younger us pursuing those ideas. We are the younger us, just better. With every waking day, you are maturing and gaining more experience. Your mind is more than capable of comprehending what it takes to get back on track. Being sure of yourself is the most important.
I'll leave a link to a great article that I find helpful in building my confidence, but here are a few pieces of advice I had(they may overlap with the article).

I'll leave a link to a great article that I find helpful in building my confidence, but here are a few pieces of advice I had(they may overlap with the article).
- Motivate yourself. Talking to yourself about yourself may seem narcissistic, but it's necessary. Boost yourself up everyday, but don't bring anyone else down when you do so. I advise doing this in front of your mirror before you leave the house.
- Dress like you care. Now, I'm not the suit and tie type. That's why I sell T-Shirts. But I do wear casual and, at times, formal clothing. It requires me to put effort in my appearance and thus I am telling myself that I am worth the time and effort, and so are you.
- Rock out! Remember your favorite song? Make it more than a song. My song is that glue to daily morning routine. When I hear the first chord, I know it's time to roll. And to those of you who aren't music lovers, this isn't about music per se. It's about taking something that you really love hearing, watching, or doing and implementing it into your everyday routine. It creates discipline because you'll do it everyday, but it also helps you develop a personal tradition that is fun and positive.
These are just a few of the countless choices you can make to improve your confidence and get you one step closer to achieving your dreams. Please, believe in yourself. If no one else does, you of all people should. It's your life. Take hold of it. Put your earbuds in, sit back, and jam as your favorite song surges through your veins.
Now, let's take life head on.
